Nizamabad: The State government has on Thursday sanctioned Rs 6.28 crore under Mission Kakatiya Phase-2 towards the beautification and improvement works of Raghunatha Tank, located on the outskirts of Nizamabad.
Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta said that with this more water can be stored in the tank which would fulfill the drinking water needs of the people of the city. The Raghunatha Tank, if developed as mini tank-bund, would become a tourism spot, he observed.
The MLA thanked Chief Minister KCR, Minister Harish Rao and Nizamabad MP Kavitha, for sanctioning Rs 6.28 crore.
