CPI will fight intolerance, says Suravaram

Hyderabad: CPI national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy on Thursday expressed serious concern over the unabated intolerance for the past one-and-a-half years in the country taking the life of Rohith in University of Hyderabad.

Along with CPI national secretary A Raja, Sudhakar Reddy addressed a protest dharna at the varsity campus and attributed the suicide to the communal politics of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. There is a need for controlling communal leaders and parties that were provoking sentiments, he said.

Rohith’s death was not just confined to UoH and would be inspirational to those who were fighting against intolerance across the nation, he said. The CPI would fight against the intolerance, he added.
