Khammam: A vehicular accident occurs every three minutes in the State for not following traffic rules and road safety measures, Traffic Circle Inspector Naresh Reddy said.

He flagged off the rally organised by the students of Johnson Public School from Pavilion grounds to Traffic Police Station in the town on Thursday to bring awareness among the public on traffic rules. This rally was organised as part of the 27th Road Safety Week celebrations.

The Traffic CI explained the students about traffic rules and safety measures to be taken while driving the vehicles. Rash driving without wearing helmets and seat belts, speaking on mobiles while driving are the main reasons for the accidents to take place, he said.

Students actively participated in the rally raising slogans on road safety and educating the public about the rules to be followed to prevent accidents while driving the vehicles. Johnson Public School Correspondent Mamatha, Director Sowbhagya and the staff members were present along with others in the rally.
