SCB mini marathon on Sunday
The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) is organising a 5 km mini marathon at SCB Hockey Ground from 6.30 am on January 24. The run is a part of the nationwide marathons that are being organised as per the directions of the Ministry of Defence to create a patriotic mood and reinforce the strengthened identity of Cantonments in India.

The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) is organising a 5 km mini marathon at SCB Hockey Ground from 6.30 am on January 24. The run is a part of the nationwide marathons that are being organised as per the directions of the Ministry of Defence to create a patriotic mood and reinforce the strengthened identity of Cantonments in India.
Speaking at a press meet on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer, Sujatha Gupta appealed to the people in general and the Association/Society/Colony/Department /Organisation members to participate in large numbers.
Winners will receive cash prizes of Rs 5,100, Rs 2,100 and Rs 1,100 for first, second and third places respectively. The marathon will be flagged off by prominent sports personalities, celebrities, army officials, board members, local MP and MLA and other important persons.
The Mini Marathon will proceed via Sikh Village, Diamond Point, Delhi Public School, Bowenpally Vegetable Market, Army Recruitment Office, Rajiv Rahadari, Karkhana Police Station and Mudfort Bazar to conclude at the Hockey Grounds.
