Karimnagar: The first state-level conference of Telangana Agricultural Workers Union will be held in Karimnagar. The three-day long session will start with a public meeting to be held at Arts College ground here on Friday.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will be the chief guest at the public meeting wherein about 15,000 party workers from different districts are expected to participate. He will arrive the district headquarters at around 12 noon and take part in the public meeting at 2 pm.

Besides Manik Sarkar, Agricultural Works Union national secretary Vijayaraghavan, union founder and freedom fighter, Mallu Swarajyam, Bhadrachalam MLA Sunnam Rajaiah, TAWU state president B Venkat, secretary G Nagaiah and others would participate in the meeting.

TAWU activists would organise a huge procession in the town which later would culminate into a public meeting. As many as 700 leaders across the State are expected to take part in the delegates’ session to be held at Padmanayaka community hall on January 23 and 24.
