A voter awareness campaign was conducted at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) on Friday.The event was conducted as per the guidelines of State Election Commission, which is making rigorous efforts to ensure maximum participation of the voters in election scheduled on February 2.

A voter awareness campaign was conducted at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) on Friday.The event was conducted as per the guidelines of State Election Commission, which is making rigorous efforts to ensure maximum participation of the voters in election scheduled on February 2.

In the awareness campaign held at MJCET, Dr PV Raghu, Principal and Nodal Officer of Quli Qutubshah Govt. Polytechnic addressed the students and principals from various colleges encouraging them to cast their vote without fail.

Following this, students were also invited to express the feeling of the young generation about the voting process. Shaik Mastan of final year ECE and Rahil Ali of final year Civil were of the opinion that the students should not treat the Election Day as just another holiday and go out and cast their vote.

Zeba Khanum of final year ECE made a valid point by stating that women and young girls also should come out and vote as female voters constitute a huge portion of voters. Basheer Ahmed, Advisor cum Director, MJCET presided over the function.
