Hyderabad to host American Football
The ever sizzling American Football will be back in town on January 29. The sixth edition of the two-day National Championship will be on show in all its spectacular glory at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli with eight States vying for honours in 19 nail biting contests, which is a feature of the rugged sport.

The sixth edition of the two-day National Championship will be on show in all its spectacular glory at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli with eight States vying for honours in 19 nail-biting contests, which is a feature of the rugged sport.
The contending outfits include Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Telangana State. According to Dr Venkatesh Movva, Chairman, American Football Federation of India (AFFI), the Indian version has been revised to suit the national sentiment. Consequently, it will be eight-member team affairs.
He said that the extravaganza assumes importance because it will serve as a selection tourney for picking probable for the national squad, which is hoping to make its international debut this season. Movva said that in order to spread the reach of the sport, there is no entry fee for the spectators turning up to watch the two-day championship.
