National rowing in Hyderabad from Tuesday
Telangana Rowing Association will host 34th Senior National Rowing Championship at the Hussain Sagar International Rowing Course from January 26 to 30. 400 participants from 20 State will be competing in 20 events.
Hyderabad: Telangana Rowing Association will host 34th Senior National Rowing Championship at the Hussain Sagar International Rowing Course from January 26 to 30. 400 participants from 20 State will be competing in 20 events.
R Dinakar Babu, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS), told reporters here on Saturday that this would be among the several the Authority has lined up to organise in the State.
“Seeing the growing popularity, we are according top priority to water sports, including establishing a hostel for those from Telangana State Sports School who keen on mastering the waters.”
Vice-Chairman of Rowing Federation of Asia, CP Singh Deo said that a new Rowing Federation Executive Council would be constituted on January 29 soon after its meeting.
President of Rowing Federation of India Rajlaxmi Singh Deo, Coach national rowing coach Ismail Baig and DSDO of DSA Hyderabad A Aleem Khan were present on the occasion.
