Hyderabad: With the elections fast approaching, aspirants and leaders including MLAs and MPs who lead the campaign for GHMC elections are resorting to do every possible act to impress the voters and draw their attention. They are seen making dosas, pooris, idlis and pots to impress voters and some even tried their hand in mincing meat at a butchers shop while one of the Ministers was seen holding a comb in a barber shop.

Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy tried his hand in making dosa at a local tiffin centre in Bholakpur division as part of campaign for the GHMC election while he was campaigning in support of TRS candidate Rama Rao. Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy ironed clothes in a shop at Amberpet division.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali campaigned with the candidate Sidda Lakshmi who made dosas in a tiffin centre at Azampura Junction, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Suganda Pushpa made pots in Langar houz to woo voters.

In some areas, the aspirants have been campaigning by placing pamphlets in the baskets hanging from the flats in apartment buildings to collect milk packets and newspapers.On the other hand, defections are also continuing in full swing.

Former Maharajgunj MLA from BJP Prem Singh Rathod and TDP senior leader Bandi Ramesh along with their cadre switched their loyalties to the TRS on Saturday. Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi and BJP Ranga Reddy district urban president Meesala Chandraiah are also contemplating to join the TRS.
