Breathefree Yatra to spread awareness on Asthma

Cipla has launced week-long awareness cum free diagnosis drive for Asthma and other respiratory disorders, ‘Breathefree Yatra’ at Faith Speciality Clinic in the city on Monday. During the drive, a clinic on wheels will go around the public places in the city and at various parts of the district to check the Asthma levels of the patients and detect the disease among others.

Speaking to the newsmen at the clinic, Pulmonologist Dr K Anil Kumar said, “The main objective of the drive is to educate people on the treatment for Asthma and use of Inhalation therapy. Cipla has come forward with a vehicle that is equipped with instruments to check for the levels of Asthma among patients with a team of technicians.

They would advise treatment and aware them of treatments referring to it. The drive also focuses on bursting myths about usage of inhalation techniques, which otherwise are the best and effective way to treat Asthma.”

He added that stopping inhalation treatment is dangerous and those with coordination difficulty in using the inhalers should make use of the available instruments in the market. The van will take a halt at Bus Station and tour Kankipadu, Vuyyuru, Gudivada and Machilipatnam among others.
