The 349th Prakash Utsav (birthday celebrations) of tenth and last Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, founder of Khalsa Panth and who protected the nation from invaders, concluded on Sunday with thousands of devotees celebrating it with religious fervour and devotion by offering prayers to Guru Granth Sahibji.

Hyderabad: The 349th Prakash Utsav (birthday celebrations) of tenth and last Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, founder of Khalsa Panth and who protected the nation from invaders, concluded on Sunday with thousands of devotees celebrating it with religious fervour and devotion by offering prayers to Guru Granth Sahibji.

The celebrations were organised under the aegis of Prabhandak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad where over 20,000 devotees participated in the “VISHAAL DEEWAN'' (mass congregation) by offering prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahibji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs) at Key's High School Grounds, Secunderabad on Sunday.

The congregation began this morning at 10.30 am and continued up to 3.30 pm. It was marked by recitations of Gurubani Keertans and Kathas (Holy Hymns) by the renowned and reputed Ragi Jathas (Sikh Preachers). Well-Known Ragi Jathas, Bhai Ravinder Singhji Ragi Jatha from Harmandir Saheb, Golden Temple, Amritsar, Bhai Harjit Singh (Jalandhar) and other reputed Ragi Jathas who were specially invited from various parts of the country for the important occasion recited Gurbani Keertans (holy hymns).
