A colourful and rich costume presentation marked the cultural extravaganza at the Powergrid intra region cultural meet and handicrafts exhibition in Secunderabad recently. V Sekhar, Executive Director, Powergrid, along with other officials of Southern Region inaugurated the  event.

A colourful and rich costume presentation marked the cultural extravaganza at the Powergrid intra region cultural meet and handicrafts exhibition in Secunderabad recently. V Sekhar, Executive Director, Powergrid, along with other officials of Southern Region inaugurated the event.

Members of the Hyderabad Substation Ghatkesar presented a dance programme on the theme ‘Lokam Pokada’. The Kadapa team presented a cultural ballet on the theme ‘Dommarata Dance’ with a message to follow cultural ethics of tribal community.

The ‘Naati Neeti Bharatham’ by Khammam Substation said wonders on the message by Mahatma Gandhi on respecting women.

A colourful dance programme on Sankranti by Nellore Substations added glamour to the event while the RHQ team from Secunderabad presented their masterpiece; a mythological dance ballet on the theme ‘Krishna Leela’.

The Vijayawada Substation from Andhra Pradesh presented a dance on ‘Raanunnadhi Pralayame’ and the final dance drama was presented by the team from Visakhapatnam on the theme ‘Pallelanu Kaapadudhaam’.

Prizes were awarded to the winning teams in the Handicrafts Exhibition and Cultural Events were presented by V Sekhar, Executive Director, Powergrid, Mallika Sekhar, President, Deep Shikha Mahila Samithi

The Vizag team bagged the first prize followed by dance presented by Secunderabad RHQ, who clinched the second and Nellore team coming at the third position.
