Medak Collector gets Best District Election Officer Award
Medak district Collector Ronald Rose was awarded ‘best district election officer’ for his outstanding work with respect to electoral process during his tenure as Nizamabad district Collector. He received the prestigious honour from the Election Commission of India at Ravindra Bharathi on Monday at a programme observing January 25 as the National Voters Day.
Hyderabad: Medak district Collector Ronald Rose was awarded ‘best district election officer’ for his outstanding work with respect to electoral process during his tenure as Nizamabad district Collector. He received the prestigious honour from the Election Commission of India at Ravindra Bharathi on Monday at a programme observing January 25 as the National Voters Day.
The award which came with a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a memento and a certificate was given to him by Justice Subhashan Reddy, Lokayukta and Bhanwar Lal, Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana and AP.
While working in Nizamabad, Ronald Rose had played a major role in seeding the Aadhaar card against EPIC card holders to weed out the fraudulent EPIC card holders from the existing electors’ database. He had also organised several programmes encouraging voters to vote and took special steps for conducting elections.
