After hoisting the National flag on the occasion of 67th Republic Day in the district, the Collector said, “Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation scheme is a mammoth irrigation project with about Rs. 30,000 crore taken up by the Chief Minister.

The project is expected to irrigate 8 lakh acres in the district. About Rs. 300 crores are already spent on the land acquisition and preparation of plan for this mega project. Already tenders have been called and are in the final stages of processing. We are expecting the works to be grounded very soon”, the Collector said.

The District Collector elaborately referred to various schemes and development works for the welfare and development of the district. The Collector said Human Development Index is the only the true indicator of development.

To improve the human development index the State government is taking up comprehensive and inclusive programmes and schemes where in Health, Education and Socio economic conditions of the people will be developed.

The Collector praised the Chief Minister for the novel initiatives like Water Grid, Mission Kakatiya and Haritha Haaram programmes.
