Hyderabad: The maker of Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai documentary on riots in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, is planning to produce a documentary on suicide by Vemula Rohith Chakravarti, Dalit research scholar in the University of Hyderabad.

Speaking to The Hans India, Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai Director, Nakul Singh Sawhney said, “Nothing has been finalised so far. But I have plans to make a documentary on the movement sparked by the suicide. If I don’t, I will rope in documentary filmmakers to do it,” said Nakul.

Nakul Singh was at UoH here on Tuesday to extend solidarity with the agitating students here. On his controversial movie he said “I know that the BJP will not like it. But I did not expect that it will stoop to this level.”

It may be mentioned here that screening of Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai created differences between Ambedkar Students Association (ASA) and ABVP that ultimately led to expulsion of five students belonging to ASA in the UoH. The Joint Action Committee for Social Justice has planned to screen the documentary movie for the students.
