Fashion forward for kids
The annual event of Lakhotia Institute of Design, ‘Lakhotia Carnival 2016’ reverberated with design and drama recently. Designed by the students of the Interior Design department, the backdrop of the venue was set in celebratory spirits as students performed skits and dances on Bollywood numbers.
The annual event of Lakhotia Institute of Design, ‘Lakhotia Carnival 2016’ reverberated with design and drama recently. Designed by the students of the Interior Design department, the backdrop of the venue was set in celebratory spirits as students performed skits and dances on Bollywood numbers.
Around 400 students of the Fashion, Interior, Fashion Photography and Modelling departments took part in presenting the event that featured collections for kids; little beauties walked the ramp and set the ball rolling for fun.
The fashion show had orphan children from NGOs who walked the ramp with in-house models adorning the garments designed by the students. The collections viz. ‘The Sunflower Fields’, ‘ARRR!’, ‘My Grandmother’s Trunk’, ‘Fiesta’, ‘Chalkboard’ and ‘Stuff Dreams Are Made of’ were designed for the brand conscious generation of today and Indian sensibilities in tune with international trends.
