The Central security agencies have reportedly picked up two persons including one from Hyderabad on Tuesday for their alleged links with Islamic State terror group.   The suspects were also part of ‘Janood-ul-Khalifa-e-Hind’ (Army of Caliph of India), the Indian wing of ISIS, formed by Indians to carry out strikes in India at important installations. 

Hyderabad: The Central security agencies have reportedly picked up two persons including one from Hyderabad on Tuesday for their alleged links with Islamic State terror group. The suspects were also part of ‘Janood-ul-Khalifa-e-Hind’ (Army of Caliph of India), the Indian wing of ISIS, formed by Indians to carry out strikes in India at important installations.

It is reported that the agencies have picked one youth from Hyderabad and another from Maharashtra for being part of JuKH. In the last week, the agencies arrested 14 persons in pan India raids including four persons from Hyderabad. The arrested persons have allegedly formed a group owing its support to IS to create havoc in India.

National Investigation Agency (NIA), in its plea to the court while seeking custody of the accused, said the accused were all in contact with some active members of IS though internet. They all met through Facebook under the leadership of one Mudabbir Musthaq Shaikh, of Mumbai.

The group regularly interacted through social networking sites like Skype, Signal and Trillion. They were also charged for trying to motivate youngsters in India to join the new terror organisation and support IS. The names of the detainees were withheld by the officials and they would be handed over to NIA on Wednesday.
