Shooting at San Diego Naval Medical Center

Three gunshots were said to have been fired in the basement of the center's building 26 at about 8 am, spokesman Mike Alvarez said. Alvarez said the incident is being treated as if it's an active shooter situation.
The center, on its Facebook page, also relayed the report and said that "all occupants are advised to run, hide or fight." "All non-emergency response personnel are asked to stay away from the compound," the post reads. On its website, Naval Medical Center San Diego bills itself as "the largest and most comprehensive military healthcare system in the Western United States."
