Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, Tribal Welfare Minister A Chandulal, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari and Government Advisor KV Ramanachary unveiled Medaram Jatara posters at the Secretariat here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran Reddy said this time they were making a special arrangement of pressing helicopter service and district administration was asked to take steps for traversing interested devotees to the place of worship.
The district administration was taking all steps to avoid traffic congestion by laying double-lane roads to the jatara site, he said. As many as 1.50 crore devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and other States will throng the Jatara to offer obeisance to the presiding deities.
The Minister said about Rs 150 crore was being spent for making facilities and roads and Rs 1.25 crore for laying tiles and steel barricades on the premises of the make-shift temple site. Steps were being taken to avoid traffic problem include setting up of CCTV cameras for surveillance and providing security with thousands of police personnel, he added.
Indrakaran Reddy said along with Srihari he would visit the site to inspect the works nearing completion at Medaram in February first week. BT roads are being laid from two places to reach the destination Medaram, one from Pasra via Naglapur and another from Tadvai.
Srihari said the KCR government was planning to lay foundation stones for developmental works in Warangal on a tentative date of February 13. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was expected to attend the programme but date was not confirmed, he added.
