Hyderabad: A former guest faculty of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Anantapur district was on Wednesday booked for allegedly harassing and threatening a woman MBA graduate and her family, police said.

In a complaint lodged with the police on Wednesday, the 24-year-old woman alleged that one Susheel Kumar had been stalking her since she joined JNTU a year ago, Kadiri Police Station Circle Inspector K Srinivas said.

Kumar had developed a friendship with the woman and proposed her several times but she did not reciprocate, the Inspector said. “Kumar went to her house in Kadiri town and threatened her and her parents with dire consequences if she did not marry him. Kumar also threatened her that he would post her morphed obscene photos online,” the Inspector said.
