Karimnagar: Smitha Sabharwal, Personal Secretary to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, inspected the ongoing works of the State government’s prestigious Water Grid project at the Agraharam of Vemulawada Mandal in the district on Wednesday.

Sabharwal examined the intake wells, pipelines and tanks that were being constructed at Agraharam and Chandragiri and reviewed the progress with officials.

She directed the officials to speed up the works and told the mining officials to take measures to prevent the blastings with crushers as that would disturb the water grid works.

With a view to supply drinking water to each and every house in 470 villages of Vemulawada and Choppadandi constituencies, the State government has take up the works with Rs 1200 crore.
