A much awaited book launch in the city is nearly here.
A much awaited book launch in the city is nearly here. ‘The Lost Generation: Chronicling India’s Dying Professions’ by Nidhi Dugar Kundalia will be launched on February 3 at Kalakriti Art Gallery. This will be not just another book launch, but one in the presence of the renowned filmmaker and director of some of the best known movies of Hindi Cinema, Shyam Benegal. The author will be in conversation with Ratna Shekar Rao, who is also an author and editor.
‘The Lost Generation’ tells multiple tales within one. It narrates the unforgettable stories of twelve professionals and their bizarre tasks, while uncovering the romance, tragedy and old-world charm of India’s ageing streets. The book brings back the everyday life of our ancestors, the India that still exists in its old streets and neighbourhoods.
