Thyagaraja devotees perform Nagara Sankeerthana

Sangeeta Sanmandali organised `Nagara Sankeerthana’ in the city on Friday morning as part of the week-long Sri Thyagaraja Sangeeta Aradhanotsavams. A good number of musicians and devotees of the Saint Composer Sri Thyagaraja took part in Nagara Sankeerthana taken out from Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.

The idols of Sri Anjaneya Swamy and Sri Thyagaraja were taken out in a colourful procession which concluded at the starting point after covering the main streets of Satyanarayanapuram. Musicians Modumudi Sudhakar, CVP Sastry, K Madhavi, PS Phalgun, K Sasidhar and others led the procession. Sri Thyagaraja Keerthanas were rendered by artistes during Nagara Sankeerthana.
