Hyderabad: It was Telugu Desam Party (TDP) that had developed Hyderabad city and created lakhs of jobs in IT sector by transforming a small Madhapur village into Hitec city, said Paritala Sunita, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies.

She has appealed to the voters of GHMC to elect the TDP-BJP combine for the development of Hyderabad while addressing an election gathering here on Thursday. Sunita participated in a door-to-door campaign in Kalyan Nagar of Vengalrao Nagar division and urged the voters to support TDP candidates.

Addressing roadside meetings at several places, she said then TDP government had successfully addressed the drinking water problem by bringing the Krishna river waters to the city. “Development of several new parks, construction of flyovers, modernisation of drainage system and the establishment of the international airport were possible due to the resolve of TDP,” she explained.

She alleged that the city has lacked development once the TDP was out of power. “Though the Telangana government has a Rs 16k crore surplus budget, it has so far done nothing for the city while the TDP government in AP with a deficit budget of Rs 16k crore has waived the loans of farmers and DWCRA women and providing round-the-clock power supply” she added.
