UoH JAC to hold Chalo Delhi on Feb 4
The Joint Action Committee for Social Justice-University of Hyderabad (JAC-UoH) has called for ‘Chalo Delhi’ on February 4 demanding justice for Vemula Rohith. The JAC said students would start for Delhi on February 2.
Hyderabad: The Joint Action Committee for Social Justice-University of Hyderabad (JAC-UoH) has called for ‘Chalo Delhi’ on February 4 demanding justice for Vemula Rohith. The JAC said students would start for Delhi on February 2.
It further said all India Joint Action Committee for Social Justice would take out a march from Mandi House to Ministry of Human Resource Development. The All India JAC also decided to hold protest meeting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The JAC said it would seek appointment of President Pranab Mukharjee.
Meanwhile, four Dalit scholars who were expelled from the hostel and socially boycotted by the University of Hyderabad will sit on an indefinite hunger strike from Saturday (January 29). They will be joined by agitating students of UoH for a mass hunger strike at 12 am on Saturday. The JAC-UoH called for candle light march in all universities across the country.
