Protest called off

Tuni: Kapu Mahanadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham called off the agitation which had turned violent and lasted for over six hours on Sunday.

Around 10 pm, Padmanabham, while announcing that the agitation has been called off, said he would sit on an indefinite fast if the government failed to announce its decision on reservations by Monday evening.

He also asked the activists to clear the place and allow the traffic to move ahead. However, according to the police, it would take at least another six hours to clear the traffic.
