A two judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt   on Monday granted time till March 7 to a Committee of Lawyers to report on the state of Rescue Homes in the states of Telangana and AP.  

Hyderabad: A two judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt on Monday granted time till March 7 to a Committee of Lawyers to report on the state of Rescue Homes in the states of Telangana and AP.

The Committee is headed by senior advocate L Ravichander and comprised two government pleaders Vidyavathy and Vani Reddy and G Vijyalakshmi as its members. The Committee is appointed by the bench in a writ plea filed by NGO Prajwala which complained of inaction on the part of the government in running the statutory rescue homes for the protection and rehabilitation of victims rescued from trafficking and child labour.

The Committee chairman informed the court that both government officials were very cooperative in extending the facility of inspection but the task required more detailed inspection and thus sought extension of time
