Hyderabad: The state government has extended the last date for submission of applications under the Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS) and Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) up to March 1 from January 31. Two GO No 33 for LRS and GO No 34 BPS were issued on Monday extending the deadline.

This was the second time that the State Government has issued GOs extending the date of LRS and BPS. Earlier, the government had extended the date up to Jan 31 from Dec 31. The government has issued two GOs, including 210 (LRS) and 211 (BRS) on 31 December 2015 extending the deadline.

Under BPS, the government has given an opportunity to house owners who unauthorisedly constructed buildings and those constructed in deviation of the sanctioned plan Rules 2015 to regularise the buildings. Owners have to file applications for regularisation of their unauthorised buildings. Under LRS, plot owners in unapproved layouts should file applications for regularisation of their plots.
