VMC chief motivates Class X students

Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian on Thursday called upon the students to pursue education with high interest to acquire decent scores. The VMC chief participated in a motivational session at SBVSR Municipal High School, Kandrika to solve study-related queries of high school students in the forthcoming SSC examinations.

Veerapandian said that the campaign aimed at building confidence among children, especially those who were weak in studies, in each high school. During the interaction, he spoke about the changes that had taken place since his days as a student. Pointing out the difficulties faced by students then, he said children today were lucky and should utilize the modern conveniences for better results.

The experience was very impressive as the children were frank with me and sincerely conveyed their problems, he said. “I am planning to spend an hour with the students studying in standard X in all the municipal and Zilla Parishad high schools in the city to motivate the children for the examinations, Veerapandian said. Deputy Mayor Gogula Venkata Ramana Rao, VMC deputy education officer K Durga Prasad and other officials were also present on the occasion.
