Will abide by people’s mandate: TDP, BJP
The TDP-BJP combine is in a state of shock over the severe drubbing they had received in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. Telangana TDP president L Ramana on Friday said his party would abide by people’s verdict and will introspect as to why it had fared so badly.
Hyderabad: The TDP-BJP combine is in a state of shock over the severe drubbing they had received in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. Telangana TDP president L Ramana on Friday said his party would abide by people’s verdict and will introspect as to why it had fared so badly.
He said the poll results were unanticipated. The party would analyse the reasons behind the poor performance of the TDP-BJP combine. The result would however not deter the party from continuing its fight over people’s issues.
TDP working President A Revanth Reddy said the mandate given to the TRS was not surprising as the ruling party always has political advantage in every local body elections but this was certainly unprecedented. It was surprising for them that it appears that even the people from Seemandhra appear to have sailed with TRS, he added.
BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar said the TRS has managed the show. We will introspect the election result. We would work hard for strengthening the party and rise to meet the expectations of the people, he said.
