Eminent lawyer Vemula Hazarataiah Gupta was felicitated at a programme held at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in the city on Monday for getting his name entered in the Telugu Book of Records in recognition of his social service.

Speaking at the felicitation function, Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Chairman Varla Ramaiah said Gupta richly deserved the honour. Mayor Koneru Sridhar lauded the social service activities of Gupta.
Former MLA Vellampalli Srinivas, Bezawada Bar Association former president Gogisetti Venkateswara Rao and others spoke hailing the social service being rendered by Gupta. Malladi Sai Chandrika presented a Kuchipudi dance concert on the occasion.
