Addressing the news persons here at Press club on Tuesday, TWAAS’s secretary K Balayogi said that Chitra Kala Santha is the second instalment that the art society is organising and this time, we had planned for an elaborate display of art works. ‘’Earlier, the event received great appreciation.

Many visitors opined for the exhibition to last a few days more. Going by their demand, we planned to arrange the expo for two days, where artists from Maharashtra, Kerala, Bengal, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will participate.

The aim of the Chitra Kala Santha is to bring paintings and arts closer to the public and their homes. We are trying to not just create awareness about paintings, drawings, sculptures and art works but are also making them available at pocket friendly prices,” he said.

He added that the event would be inaugurated by 10 am on February 13 and concludes by 5 pm on the following day. Paintings, murals, Tanjore art would be part of the event in about 200 stalls. CEO of Cultural Centre of Vijayawada E Sivanagi Reddy, painters and artists were present during the meet.
