TRS will win Narayankhed bypoll: Harish Rao
Criticising the opposition for their rhetoric against the government, Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Tuesday asserted that the TRS candidate would win Narayankhed byelection.
Hyderabad: Criticising the opposition for their rhetoric against the government, Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Tuesday asserted that the TRS candidate would win Narayankhed byelection. He was also confident that the candidates fielded by the Opposition would forfeit deposits. “The people are with us and will give the TRS a clear mandate like they did in Warangal bypoll,” he stated.
Harish Rao said Congress leaders like N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Shabbir Ali, who failed to develop this Assembly segment when their party was in power, cannot win the trust of the people. The Congress leaders had fattened themselves and left the people in lurch, he said. He assured the people that he would visit Narayankhed once in two weeks and ensure that Singur water is used to promote farming in the constituency.
Addressing a meeting at Narayankhed, the Minister ridiculed the Congress and Telugu Desam Party for slinging mud on the ruling party. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was committed for the welfare of people, he said. The previous government had ignored the welfare of the people. Now the TRS government was striving to promote welfare of people and all-round development of the State, the Minister said.
