Spread awareness about nutrition deficiency disorders
Mahbubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud asked the healthcare officials in the district to spread awareness on the Nutrition Deficiency Disorders (NDD) among children.
Hyderabad: Mahbubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud asked the healthcare officials in the district to spread awareness on the Nutrition Deficiency Disorders (NDD) among children. Commemorating the National Nulipurugu (‘White Germs’) eradication day on Wednesday, MLA Srinivas Goud distributed ‘Albendazol’ tablets to the children at the government primary school in Appayapally village under of Mahbubnagar mandal.
“It is the responsibility of every individual to create awareness about the nutrition deficiencies among children. To eradicate the ‘white germ’ problems, all the children between the age group 1-19 years need to be administered with Albendazol tablets,” the MLA said.Speaking on the occasion, Gayatri, school Headmaster advised all the children to compulsorily wash their hands with soap before eating food and after excretion.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Parvathi stressed on personal hygiene and individual cleanliness. Dr Saishankar, Medical officer of Yedira Health Centre, Venugopal Reddy, Cluster Health Educator along with others participated in the programme.
