Need to focus on fundamentals stressed
A One –day workshop on ‘Trouble Shooting and Servicing of Electrical Drives and Appliances’ was held for the students of department of Electrical and Eletronics Engineering at Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikharjuna Rao College of Engineering and Technology in the city on Thursday.
A One –day workshop on ‘Trouble Shooting and Servicing of Electrical Drives and Appliances’ was held for the students of department of Electrical and Eletronics Engineering at Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikharjuna Rao College of Engineering and Technology in the city on Thursday.
The workshop has been organized by the Institute of Engineers (IEI) Student chapter. Addressing the workshop principal K Nageswara Rao stressed on the need to focus on fundamentals and put the academic skills acquired in the college to better use for gaining practical knowledge.
The technical workshop will enhance practical knowledge for students to be industry ready, he said. EEE department head Y Rajendra Babu said that about 150 students of electronics discipline participated in the workshop from various colleges in the city.
Students were given a detailed description on the trouble shooting and service of various electrical machines like Alternate Current and Direct Motors, alternators and transformers as part of the workshop, he said. College Treasurer K Venkateswara Rao and other faculty members were also present.
