Hyderabad: CPI national secretary K Narayana demanded that the police arrest those who attacked AISF national president Vali Ullah Quadri and general secretary Vishwajeeth and students, professors and journalists on the premises of a Delhi court.

In a press release issued here on Monday, Narayana alleged that an ‘RSS gang’ masquerading as lawyers attacked the AISF activists on the court premises in the presence of the police. The police produced JNU AISF leader Kanhaiya Kumar in the Delhi court.

Many student leaders, professors and journalists came to the court to watch the proceedings, he said. On the other hand, the RSS activists in lawyer’s attire attacked the leaders, students, professors and journalists on the court premises.

The police remained silent spectators though the RSS goons chased them for two kilometres, he alleged and said the incident showed how the democracy was being protected under the BJP rule. The RSS activists created the situation on the court premises to see that nobody moved bail application for Kanhaiah Kumar.

The CPI leader said people should think why Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh were maintaining silence on such incidents. Demanding that the government release Kanhaiya Kumar unconditionally, Narayana asked the judges to interfere directly in the episode.
