Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Monday, Goverdhan Reddy felt that inflating the cost of the project by 80 per cent was something ‘more than meets the eye’. He alleged that corruption increased under TRS government.
The TRS government had assigned the works again to the same contractors who had failed to execute the works on time. The government was only chanting “redesigning” mantra to divert the attention of people, he said. He asserted that the TRS had won the GHMC elections by tampering with the EVMs.
He questioned the government for not conducting elections to Khammam and Warangal Corporations along with GHMC polls. “TRS may win even Khammam and Warangal Corporation elections by resorting to unethical methods. That would not mean that the TRS had popular support, he felt.
