Hyderabad: In response to the story “After Army, now Colony residents blocking roads” that appeared on Monday in The Hans India, the Deputy Commissioner, Circle No. 17, Malkajgiri Srinivas Reddy along with the Assistant City Planner inspected the site on Monday morning and took up the issue with the Vayupuri Residential Welfare Association President. It was decided to post guards at these gates for emergency services.

Reddy said that the three roads in Vayupuri Colony which are connected to neighbouring colony and Neredmet main road are at a distance of 150 metre roads each and the gates erected at two corner roads and are being closed during night from 10 pm to 5 am.

He said these gates were erected as per instructions of the local police authorities under safe colony concept. The other road is opened 24x7 which can be used by the people. These closed roads during the night are not causing any obstructions to the general public. However instructions had been given to the residential welfare association president to post guards at the gates for emergency services, he added.
