Hundreds of applicants at the Road Transport Authority (RTA) offices in the city returned disappointed as the servers were down on Tuesday. The service lines took a beating due to the ongoing Metro Rail work at Lakdi-ka-pul.

Transactions at RTA offices in at Khairtabad, Malakpet, Bahadurpura, Trimulgherry and Mehdipatnam were hit. The officials kept the applicants waiting in anticipation of the systems to be repaired but, after 2 pm they feigned helplessness.

T Ramesh, deputy transport commissioner (IT) said that wherever there was backup connectivity, the work was not affected. The RTA offices in Attapur, Ibrahimpatnam, Uppal, Medchal and Nagole functioned normally.The BSNL authorities were trying to rectify the problem, who informed that the lease lines were damaged and needed to be repaired.
