The Heritage Foundation is hosting a two day national seminar on ‘Institutional Care of Senior Citizens’ at the Indian Institute of Health & Family Welfare in Vengal Rao Nagar from Thursday.
The objectives the seminar are to determine the need to evolve a mechanism to ensure minimum standards to be maintained in old age homes, understand the current status of quality of services and discuss ways of improving quality of care rendered to the residents.
The event is organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment; the Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens Welfare Department and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) India.
