A two judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday adjourned to February 25 a petition questioning the appointments of junior civil judges. The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt was dealing with a batch of petitions questioning the appointments to the said posts.

Senior Counsel Uday Chandra Singh appearing for the High Court pointed out that as the Telangana State government had failed to consult the High Court before framing its own judicial service rules, there was no sanctity for Telangana Judicial Service Rules.

He pointed out that the appointments of the junior judges were in accordance with the directions of the Apex Court. The bench adjourned the case granting time to the Central government to respond.
