The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao celebrated his 62nd birthday by praying at Peddamma temple in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday. He later cut a cake designed on the theme of double bedroom houses being proposed by the Telangana government.

He later cut a cake designed on the theme of double bedroom houses being proposed by the Telangana government.

He was accompanied by the party general secretary K Keshav Rao, Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav, former TDP leader E Dayakar and the GHMC deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin.

Several TRS leaders including Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy, minister P Srinivas Reddy, several MLAs and MLCs were present on the occasion.

Srinivas Yadav touched the feet of KCR and sought his blessings while the secretary general offered cake to the chief minister. Lunch was served by commercial taxes minister Srinivas Yadav at the Peddamma temple.

The TRS party president's birthday was also celebrated at Telangana Bhavan where Hyderabad mayor Bontu Rammohan and deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin took part in a blood donation camp.

Earlier in the day, several cabinet colleagues, MLAs, IAS and IPS officers and other dignitaries called on the Chief Minister at the camp office and extended their greetings. Legislator A Jeevan Reddy presented a silk shawl made in Dharmavaram that had the portrait of the Chief Minister couple.
