Nearly 600 students from schools and colleges in around the city actively participated in the ‘Electronic Project Expo-2016’ organised by the Enthusiasts Club of Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikarjunarao College of Engineering and Technology (PSCMR) at its campus here on Thursday.

Nearly 600 students from schools and colleges in around the city actively participated in the ‘Electronic Project Expo-2016’ organised by the Enthusiasts Club of Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikarjunarao College of Engineering and Technology (PSCMR) at its campus here on Thursday.

College president Sri Chalavadi Mallikarjuna Rao inaugurated the expo. Speaking on the occasion, Mallikarjua Rao urged the students to develop interest convergence of various electronics, mechanical, information technology and other streams to revolutionise manufacturing processes, in which, he said, even at entry-level engineers can earn a good package in the industries.

He also said that the electronics field is gaining tremendous momentum both in rural and urban areas thanks to the Digital India movement. He called upon the students to be ready to seize opportunities. College principal K Nageswara Rao said that it is necessary to gain the knowledge about different electronic circuit for school and intermediate students. This project expo helps the student to know the working and application of a different electronics circuits.

Meanwhile students also presented various projects which had an electronic letter box, water level control for agriculture, remote control device for electronic appliances, temperature controlled fan, coin operated mobile charger, solar mobile charger, shadow sensor, mobile phone detector, automatic curtain close and open, museum watch dog, metal detector, clap switch and automatic street light at the expo.

College Joint Secretary G Pavan Kumar, Secretary S Radha Krishna Murthy and other faculty members were also present during the inaugural session.
