Dance to fashion
The annual Spectrum event at NIFT showcasing the students’ collections had an unusual theme this year. The NIFT campus was full to capacity with students and their parents to witness the concept of dance to fashion. Classical dance inspired the final year students to create an imaginative series of collections.

The array of fantastic designs was a tribute to the Avante – Garde, Mohiniattam, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi were the dance forms. Each collection was preceded by a brief presentation by a dancer belonging to that particular art form.
This was followed by the student models wearing the designs. Himabindu, Sanjana, Sindhuja, Mitha Vinay and Mythili Anoop were the dancers who guided the students in their endeavour.
