Social responsibility needs to be deeply ingrained among the children from childhood as it makes them better citizens of the nation, said Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu. The Union Minister was the chief guest for the inaugural session of three-day international seminar on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development’ organised by Kakarparti Bhavanaryana (KBN) College here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkaiah Naidu called upon the corporates to actively participate in the service oriented activities along with the State and Central governments for the holistic development of the country. “Corporate social responsibility can be much more than charity, it brings social harmony among the public.

Inculcating CSR initiatives is also about training young minds for greater good. It is a culture, unwritten contract with the community. This invisible culture can shape brighter futures for nations,” he opined.The Union Minister also said that India emerged as the most attractive investment destination in the world.

“To reap the benefits of our demographic dividend, skill development for youth employability is crucial and going to be the defining element in India's growth story,” he added. Minister for Health Sciences Kamineni Srinivas, former MLA Vellampalli Srinivas Rao,

Dean of Disaster University, Kenya, Dr Ongaro Kennedy, SKPVV Hindu High Schools Committee general secretary Gopisetty Mallaiah, KBN College President Uppala Sambasiva Rao, Secretary Razith Kumar, Prinicipal P Krishna Murthy, vice principal V Narayana Rao and others participated in the inaugural session of the seminar.
