As per the poll schedule, nominations can be filed from Monday. Scrutiny of nominations would be done on February 25 (Thursday) and on February 26, the names of the contesting candidates would be publicised. If necessary, a re-election would be conducted on March 8.

The state government has already announced the reservation of wards in the three civic bodies. GWMC would have 58 wards, KMC 50 wards and Achampet 20 wards. About 9 to 10 lakh voters would exercise their franchise in the three civic body elections.
