Delhi-based professional outfit Vinod Kumar’s Team had the perfect launch for Golconda Masters Golf Championship-2016 that tees off on Thursday when it won the Pro-Am event at Hyderabad Golf Club here on Wednesday. Delhi-based professional outfit Vinod Kumar’s Team had the perfect launch for Golconda Masters Golf Championship-2016 that tees off on Thursday when it won the Pro-Am event at Hyderabad Golf Club here on Wednesday. Played in the Texas Scramble format where the team’s best ball was chosen on every shot, including putting green, Vinod Kumar led his team to victory in the Pro-Am competition with a score of 52.3 points. His teammates included amateurs Sanath Malreddy, Krishna Guduru and Ajay Reddy T.
Bengaluru-based professional C Muniyappa and his amateur team members, Ritesh Daga, Venkat Ravilla and Rakesh Vadlamudi, finished second with a score of 53.1 points. The longest drive on Hole No 5 honours went to K Sanjay, whose drive landed at a distance of 270 yards.
The prize for the closest to the pin on Hole No 7 was won by A Bhaskar Reddy while the straightest drive on Hole No. 12 was won by Ashok Reddy N. Later, Kiran Kohli, Director, Krishnapatnam Port Company Limited. Distributed the prizes.
