13 IAS, 9 IPS officers promoted, redesignated
Telangana government has cleared the long-pending promotions of civil servants working in the State. Perhaps first time after the bifurcation of state, 22 officials - 13 IAS and 9 IPS, have been promoted and re-designated on Friday.

Hyderabad: Telangana government has cleared the long-pending promotions of civil servants working in the State. Perhaps first time after the bifurcation of state, 22 officials - 13 IAS and 9 IPS, have been promoted and re-designated on Friday.
Energy Secretary Arvind Kumar, Finance Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, Labour and Employment Secretary Harpreet Singh and Civil Supplies Commissioner Rajat Kumar (all 1991 batch IAS officials) have been promoted to the rank of principal secretary.
Another senior official of the same batch G Ashok Kumar, who was on central deputation till recently, had also been elevated to the rank of principal secretary. He would be Secretary of the State Housing Department.
Two IAS officials of 1999 batch who were on central deputation: Director in Prime Minister’s Office at New Delhi V Sheshadri and Director, Central Cabinet, Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi were granted proforma promotion by increasing their pay scales.
Other 1999 batch officials: Adilabad Collector M Jagan Mohan, Hyderabad Collector Rahul Bojja and Telangana Sports Authority Managing Director A Dinkar Babu and 2003 batch officials–Nizamabad Collector Yogita Rana, Khammam Collector Lokesh Kumar and Nalgonda Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy have been granted selection grade pay-scales and asked them to continue in their posts.
Among IPS officials, Cyberabad police Commissioner C V Anand and Inspector General Rajiv Ratan (both from 1991) were promoted to the rank of Additional Director General. They would continue in their existing posts.
Similarly, 1998 batch officials-Vikram Singh Mann (central deputation), RB Nayak, B Malla Reddy, T Murali Krishna and M Siva Prasad have been promoted as Inspector General of Police and two 2002 batch officials Rajesh Kumar and N Sivashankar Reddy have been promoted as DIG (Deputy Inspector General).
