Telangana Endowment and Housing Minister A Indrakaran Reddy said on Friday that Rs 212.99 crore has been earmarked for construction of bathing ghats, Rs 398.03 crore for road works under R and B Department, Rs 133.83 crore for road works under Panchayat Raj, Rs 38 crore for Rural Water Supply, Rs 1.19 crore for Fisheries, Rs 8.60 crore for Energy, Rs 1.91 crore for public health, Rs 10 crore for Home department and Rs one crore for Fire department.

Stating that the district Collectors have been asked to take up tendering process immediately and begin the works from March 15, the Minister said Rs 25 crore special allocations were made for the development of a double-lane road from Jogulamba temple in Alampur of Mahbubnagar district.

Special bathing ghats would also be constructed at the confluence of rivers near the temple on the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, he said. The Endowment Department has already sanctioned Rs 4.54 crore for the repairs of the temples, he added. The Minister said about three to four crore pilgrims would take part in Pushkaralu which would begin in August second week.
