Electricity major to power Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Taking the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan forward Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd pledged 55,000 man-hours towards the campaign. The work to achieve the said man-hours for the mission took off on Tuesday at the Southern Regional Headquarters, Secunderabad.

A total of 75 members comprising employees and family members visited the Government Girls High School, Bansilalpet and washed the classrooms, toilets and cleaned the school premises from 10 am to 1 pm. The programme was launched by V Sekhar, executive director, POWERGRID and the company handed over six large dustbins to the school authorities.
An awareness programme was also conducted and students were urged to wash hands before eating, keep school premises clean and to use dustbins to dispose of the garbage. POWERGRID has identified nine regions and load despatch centres spread throughout the country to complete the man-hour in this year.
